Intrinsic elements of short story
Intrinsic elements of literary form of short stories, is the builder of the elements of short story structure that is in the short story itself, namely: (1) themes, (2) character, (3) groove, (4) background, (5) engineering storytelling, and (6) diction.
Of the six stories above the intrinsic elements, only elements of character and characterizations are discussed in this study. In this regard, literary theory, quoted on the basis of this theory is only theory about the characters and characterizations alone.
Short story is a work of literature that must have an intrinsic element of the so-called characters and characterizations, as events after the events described in a short story, without exception, to be sure the event is assumed as the events experienced by the characters story. Characters can be distinguished based on their role, the main character, servant leaders, and additional figures. The main character is a character that plays an important role in the story. This figure is a supporter of the main theme in the story. Based on the character played by, the main character can be divided into the protagonist (good character), the antagonist (villain), hero figures / wirawati (both figures supporting the protagonist), and figures antiwirawan / antiwirawati (supporting villain antagonist). Characters must be portrayed as a figure who has a personality, character, and have certain properties.
Complete picture of the whole profile of the main character is covering three dimensions, namely: physiological, psychological, and sociological.
1. Physiological dimensions, including depictions of the physical characteristics of the characters, such as: gender, body shape, age, body characteristics, kadaan body, and facial features, clothing and jewelry.
2. Sociological dimension includes the depiction of the social characteristics of the characters, such as social status, occupation, employment, social roles, education, personal life, family life, world view, ideology, religion, social activities, orpol / organizations that enter, passion, offspring and ethnicity.
3. Psychological dimension includes the depiction of the psychological traits of the characters, such as mentality, moral norms, temperament, feelings, desires, attitudes, character / character, intelligence (IQ), expertise and special skills.
In order to describe the dimensions of physiological, psychological, and sosioloogis, the leading story, there are authors who do so directly with discursive methods (explicit) and still others do it indirectly by dramatic methods (implicit).
Direct methods (explicit) leads to the way the author that directly mention the physical characteristics (dimensions fisioloogis), physical characteristics (dimensions fisikologis), social characteristics (social dimension) and psychological characteristics (psychological dimension) which dilekatkannya the characters. According to Mido (1994:24-36), the nature of the characters in the indirect method (implicit) is described through a number of descriptions that are implicit, such as: (1) through physical description, (2) through the description of expression and posture, (3) through speech and thought leaders in question, (4) through a description of the action, (5) through a dialogue between the characters, (6) through the description of the ownership of the objects and the neighborhood, (7) through the character's name, and (8) through reactions, speech and other opinion leaders.

Tips For Writing
1. Try to write! Do not hesitate! Whatever the theme is there your heart to mind. If necessary, you must have a separate notebook to write short stories. For, if already collected a lot, you can record / publish your collection of short stories to publishers.
2. Check the back of your writing, or request corrections to the people that you think or at least be proficient in making a short story or it could be the one who used to read the stories! and ask for advice and kritikk it!
3. Not try to submit your work to magazines or other media! Who knows you're lucky, in the sense that you work through and get a magazine. In addition you can be famous, you also had a chance to venture.
